My journey as an author

Writing Beneath the Killing Fields was both a personal and historical journey. It was inspired by my family’s resilience and my desire to share our story of survival with the world.

My Journey to Writing This Memoir

Growing up in Cambodia and experiencing the hardships of the Khmer Rouge deeply shaped my perspective and life goals. Driven by a desire to preserve my family’s stories and share them with the world, I embarked on the journey of writing this memoir. It is a tribute to resilience and the enduring spirit of those who survived.
